No. An invite link lets you in as a guest, with nothing but a nickname. An account is what carries your events to your next phone, what lets you own an event, and what lets a notification reach you. You can create one later without losing what you did as a guest.

The link was opened inside another app’s browser. Instagram, Messenger and some mail apps show web pages in a window of their own, and that window is not allowed to hand a link over to an installed app. The page you landed on carries an “Open in the app” button, which is the way through. Opening the same link in Safari or Chrome works too.

Yes, and it is the reliable route when a link cannot be tapped — one that arrived as a screenshot, or was read out loud. Join an event has a field for it, and the whole link goes in, including the tracking that Instagram and Messenger staple onto it.

Each expense records what it cost, who paid it and who it was for. Evntt works out who owes what to whom from there, so nobody adds anything up by hand. The currency is chosen once per event.

A free account creates up to 5 events, joins up to 5, and an event you own holds up to 15 members. There is no paid plan to buy yet — if you run into a ceiling, write to us and say what you are organizing.

Three things to check, in this order: that notifications are allowed for Evntt in your device settings, that the event is not muted in its own notification settings, and that the app has been opened at least once on this phone — a device only gets its delivery token then.

Not shipped yet. It is announced on the home page along with file management, and neither is in the app today — the home page marks both as coming rather than letting anyone believe otherwise.

Almost always a second identity rather than lost data. Signing in with Apple when the account was created with Google, or with an email address the other provider does not use, opens a separate account. The app can attach a second sign-in method to the account you already have, in the account settings. Write to us if the two have already drifted apart.

Yes. Write to us and we send it in a readable format within thirty days. The privacy policy lists that right next to the others.

Both are in the app, with no email to send. Leaving sits in the event’s settings, and is refused in one case only: when you are the last person who could own that event, because somebody has to inherit it. Deleting your account sits in the account settings and can never be refused — the app shows you first which events change owner and which are destroyed, then asks you to confirm.
